In the M27 project, we undertook the design and complete renovation of a home located in the heart of the Sant Gervasi neighborhood in Barcelona. The main goal was to create a serene, functional, and warm living space for a young family, with special attention given to areas dedicated to rest and childhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the key elements of the intervention was the complete reconfiguration of the home\u2019s layout. The day area \u2014 living room, dining room, and kitchen \u2014 was placed in the brightest part of the house, creating a spacious, open space that is both visually and functionally connected. This decision maximizes natural light and encourages shared living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The original arches and glazed transom carpentry were preserved and enhanced \u2014 architectural elements with strong character that now serve as focal points and key features in the new layout. Their presence brings historical continuity and a sense of elegance to the overall project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The interior design proposal is based on a neutral, enveloping palette, dominated by sand tones, warm whites, and noble materials such as wood. This choice reinforces the sense of calm and spaciousness, bringing a timeless and welcoming aesthetic to the space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the primary bedroom, the design embraces clean lines, integrated storage solutions, and architectural details such as the arch framing the walk-in closet, adding character without overwhelming the space. Discreet lighting and floating elements \u2014 like the minimalist black shelves \u2014 enhance the overall visual lightness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The children\u2019s spaces were designed to grow with them, featuring furniture made of natural fibers, soft textiles, and a playful yet delicate decor. Functionality, brightness, and emotional connection were prioritized, with thoughtful details like animal illustrations and play corners that invite exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The result is a harmonious, practical home that is emotionally connected to its inhabitants \u2014 a perfect balance between contemporary design and domestic warmth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
