From the very first sketch, this project was conceived with the intention of creating a home deeply connected to its surroundings. Situated next to a forest, this contemporary masia blends naturally into the landscape of the Empordà. Every proportion, every design decision, and every material was chosen with the purpose of respecting and engaging in dialogue with the place — always in pursuit of an architecture that is serene, honest, and enduring.
The house is composed of two main volumes connected by gentle transitions and split levels, allowing for fluid circulation and harmonious coexistence between spaces. The first volume contains the entrance, which leads to the day areas: the living room with a suspended fireplace, the dining area, and the open kitchen — all visually and physically connected to the outdoors. A central patio with a fountain, specially designed for this project, brings a sense of freshness and calm to the heart of the home.
The upper level houses the bedrooms, conceived as peaceful retreats where light and materials create a restful atmosphere. Most of the furniture is custom-designed and coexists with handcrafted pieces and antique objects that bring warmth and character to the space.
The interior design follows a warm minimalism approach: neutral tones, linen fabrics, natural woods, and handcrafted details. Sofas by Atemporal Home Interiors, artisanal lighting, natural fiber rugs, and the use of unique pieces all come together to create a serene, welcoming, and functional atmosphere.
Outdoors, the landscaping—carried out by the Local4 studio—reinforces the connection with nature. A large microcement pool opens up to the views, a raised terrace with concrete benches invites contemplation, and an intimate courtyard offers a place to relax and disconnect from the pace of daily life.
Above all, this house is a space that nurtures. A place where every corner invites you to breathe, to pause, and to reconnect. A home designed for living slowly and with intention.
