In this renovation project, one of the standout elements is the kitchen’s original floor: a natural stone with a strong expressive character that was preserved as a testament to the home’s original identity. Rather than competing with it, the rest of the materials were carefully selected to enhance it.

The intervention focused on creating a respectful dialogue between the pre-existing elements and the new additions. To achieve this, a palette of neutral and warm tones was chosen, with a predominance of natural wood, light stone-colored finishes, and soft lighting that enhances the cozy atmosphere of the space. This contrast allows the rich colors and movement of the floor to stand out as a sculptural element within the composition.

The kitchen was reimagined as a functional and aesthetically harmonious space, where every detail—from the handles to the built-in furniture—was designed to complement the striking presence of the flooring without detracting from its prominence.
